Eduarda Panzone de Castro, better known as Duda Castro, was born on October 19, 1991 into a family of Italian, Spaniards and Argentine descendants, in the south side of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Inspired by art, fashion and entertainment, she quickly focused her energy and talents to become a successful model, social media icon, photographer, trendsetter, and businesswoman immersed in the fast-paced U.S. lifestyle.
Duda began her career young at the age of 7, after getting her first pair of high heels. Although she dreamt of being a professional gymnast, she immediately found a calling for fashion, winning looks and admiration with her natural talent on the catwalk. Just one year later, fashion designer Marcelo Quadros, who was consecrated in the 2001 Sao Paulo Fashion Week, discovered Duda. Shortly thereafter, she signed with the fashion agency Mega Model Brazil, modeling and acting her way through the entertainment world.
At 13, the young Brazilian moved to the United States, where she began a new chapter in her story. At the age of 16, Duda found herself suffering from depression, forcing her to drop out of high school. While finishing homeschool she dedicated herself towards art even further, without any knowledge that just two years later her life would change forever. Duda was invited to participate in one of the largest Brazilian events abroad, Miss Brazil USA, which took place in New York City, a pivotal turning point in her life. The young talent did not disappoint; she embraced the opportunity to get out of anonymity and won first place in the Miss Brazil pageant 2009-2010, catapulting her straight into the pages of newspapers and magazines all around the world.
Besides carrying the crown of Miss Brazil 2009-2010 and the title of Brazilian princess among teenagers, she has also been touted by American magazines as one of the most beautiful Brazilians in North America. Being fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, Duda has been interviewed both nationally and internationally, gracing the covers of magazines throughout the United States and Brazil.
Yet despite a hectic career, Duda did not ignore her studies. On April 3rd, 2015, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, one of the top arts, music, and television universities in the world. Not only did she graduate by the age of 23, but she was also a nominee for “The Advanced Achievement Award”. This award recognizes outstanding achievement, acknowledging qualities of effort, dedication, energy, sacrifice, skill, and leadership. Full Sail recognizes the Advanced Achievement Award as one of its most prestigious, indicative of a student who is highly likely to succeed.
While still in college Duda started blogging and vlogging about her everyday life and all things interesting in the world. Little did she know how many great opportunities would soon come knocking at her doorstep due to the impact she was having online. She has been ambassador of the horror film The Conjuring II, and has worked with exclusive brands such as Sephora, Disney, and Red Bull Brazil. Duda’s favorite thing about running a blog and a YouTube Channel is having the privilege to connect with fans from all over the world, who she calls “dreamers” like herself.
In 2016, one year after moving to L.A., Duda signed a contract with Awesomeness TV, a media and entertainment mogul owned by DreamWorks Animation, Hearst and Verizon Communications, making her the first Brazilian to be signed under Awesomeness TV in the United States. While continuing her journey as a digital influencer, Duda aims to explore much more of the acting world, write her own book, and later establish a foundation dedicated to helping young children achieve their artistic dreams.
